Masters of the Universe 3.1 DOFLinx
NOTE: This table uses Dynamic Flippers and Lighting that require use of BAM v1.4-267 (or later) to be installed which was released on November 9, 2019. Part of the script requires version 275 although I have added some coding that will ignore this script if you don't have version 275 installed yet. It is very easy to upgrade. You can download the most current version at the following link. This installation file installs Future Pinball and BAM at the same time. If you have either Future Pinball or BAM already installed, you can still run it and it will bring everything up to date.
I have to say the TerryRed did an incredible job on his previous update of this table. He added all the video clips you see and created the DOFLinx version. Kudos to Terry! I have copied all of TerryRed's DOFLinx coding from his previous version that has addressable LEDs and added it to the current version of this table. My friends from the Discord forum have tested it for me because I don't have a pinball cabinet and am not able to test it myself. DOFLinx is a program that drives all the extra lights and blowers that pinball cabinet users have installed on their cabinets.
Although desktop users will not benefit from using DOFLinx, it is quite simple to play tables that are coded for it on a desktop. All that is needed to download the DOFLinx program.
The download contains many files but the only file you need to play tables on a desktop is "DOFLinx.vbs". You can discard everything else in the download. Save the file to this folder and you are finished with the setup for desktop use:
If you don't have a "Scripts" folder, just create it as a subfolder to "Future Pinball".
Since it is so easy to set up a desktop to play DOFLinx tables, I will probably discontinue providing two versions in the future. Since I had already saved two versions this time, I decided go ahead and post both. The next version will have DOFLinx and a Heads Up Display (HUD). I removed the HUD from the DOFLinx version this time but the next version will have a HUD that can be turned off. I will provide a copy of "DOFLinx.vbs" in the download for the desktop users.
Version 2 of the desktop version of the table implemented many bug fixes that improve the game play. Version 3 implemented dynamic flippers, enhanced lighting and many other enhancements. Version 3.1 added additional lighting enhancements. All of that is now available in this DOFLinx version! You can review a more detailed listing of the improvements here:
If you don't click on the link above, be sure to press the Special 1 key repeatedly to cycle through the light modes. Do not unzip the "zip" file. Just save it to the same folder as the table. If you change the name of the table, rename the zip file with the same name.
I hope you enjoy it!
